Educational Visits

Children are offered the opportunity to take part in educational visits to support and extend the work carried out in school. Unfortunately the school does not have funds to support such activities and therefore requests voluntary contributions from parents to recover the costs involved. If insufficient funds are forthcoming, educational visits may face cancellation.

From time to time the school arranges for theatre groups and musicians to visit the school. This is a valuable extension of the children’s exposure to, and appreciation of the arts. Parents are requested to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost. Due to the high per capita cost of some activities, the children involved may be encouraged to organise fund raising activities to subsidise the cost.

No child is excluded from any activity because of family financial difficulties. In any such case parents should contact the Head teacher who will deal with the matter in the strictest confidence.
